Early Educator Workshop

Whether you’re new to academia or looking to advance your career as an early career education professional, our new Early Educator Workshop: Learning to Survive & Thrive will help you acclimate to a new role outside of the clinical setting. 

Workshop sessions will discuss strategies and concepts utilized by educators in the classroom. Experienced educators will provide insight into how to achieve your professional goals while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Attendees will participate in a Q&A session with experienced educators and have the opportunity to explore the challenges and successes of their educator peers.

Tackle current issues facing nurse anesthesia programs like yours in the Education Hot Topics: An Expert Panel with the AANA Education Committee . The panel is on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 3:45 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. MT.

The panel of experts will discuss important topics related to faculty and educators. The Education Committee will select topics based on the submissions they receive in advance with members of the AANA Education, Wellness and DEI Committees and representatives from stakeholder organizations.

Delegate to the Education Committee

The Education Committee has two delegates who each serve two-year terms. One delegate is elected every year at the Assembly of Didactic and Clinical Educators (ADCE) in February. Delegates must be CRNAs who spend at least 50% of their time in the didactic and/or clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students at the time of application. During their tenure on the committee, delegates must:

  • Be continuously involved in the didactic and/or clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
  • Attend ADCE and AANA Annual Congress during both years of their term.
  • Attend Education Committee meetings and conference calls for the two-year term which begins immediately following the AANA Annual Congress in the year elected.
