Leah Hillman McClain, DNP, CRNA, age 40, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2024 in Signal Mountain, Tennessee.
She was born on May 3, 1983 in Metairie, Louisiana, to William Randolph Hillman and Debra Savage Hillman. She was a nurse anesthetist, having earned her doctorate in Advanced Practice Nursing specializing in Nurse Anesthesia at the University of Alabama – Birmingham. She was a consummate professional dedicated to the kind and compassionate care of her patients.
Leah was a loving mother, daughter, and wife who enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed being surrounded by the natural beauty of this world and was an avid lover of her cats and dogs.
Leah is survived by her sons, Wyatt Pinto and Christopher Cael; daughters, Lillian Alice and Reid Alaine; husband, Christopher William; father and mother; sister, Ashley Alaine Hillman, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Leah will be greatly missed by her family, friends and her patients.
To honor Leah’s memory, her family will held a celebration of life on Saturday, April 13, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, Alabama, from 1-3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Arrangements were under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
