CRNAs appointed to Kentucky Board of Nursing

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has appointed two additional new members to the Kentucky Board of Nursing, and both are Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs). 

Jennifer Harpe-Bates, DNAP, APRN, CRNA, FAANA, of Louisville, has been an AANA member since 1998.  She is currently an assistant professor and simulation coordinator for the University of Louisville School of Nursing Nurse Anesthesia Program. She has been a practicing CRNA for 30 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Kentucky, and a master’s degree in health sciences with a Certificate in Nurse Anesthesia from the Medical University of South Carolina. She earned her Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice from the Medical University of South Carolina. 

Darlena Jones, DNP, APRN, CRNA, of Madisonville, has been an AANA member since 2007. She recently joined the University of Evansville Nurse Anesthesia Program, where she serves as an assistant professor. She holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing (Nurse Anesthesia Specialty), and a Doctor of Nursing Practice, all from Murray State University.
