The American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) congratulates the Filipino American Nurse Anesthesiology Society (FANAS) for the official launch of its professional non-profit 501(c)(3) organization on Friday, July 26, 2024.
FANAS aims to unite and empower Filipino American Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), also known as nurse anesthesiologists or nurse anesthetists, and registered nurses, fostering excellence, collaboration, and leadership. Through mentorship, advocacy, and community engagement, they endeavor to advance the field of nurse anesthesiology, champion diversity, and serve their local communities.
Composed of a distinguished 11-member Board, FANAS envisions a future where Filipino American CRNAs stand as leaders in anesthesia care, are deeply connected to their communities, and are fostering innovation and advocacy. Under the leadership of Dan Lovinaria, DNP, MBA, APRN, CRNA, FNAP, FAANA, FAAN, they are committed to providing high-quality patient care, upholding professional standards, and promoting a culture of inclusivity and collaboration.
“At FANAS, our mission is to be a beacon of excellence, positive social change, and service for the Filipino American community,” said Lovinaria, president of FANAS. “We are dedicated to upholding the values of excellence, social responsibility, diversity, equity, inclusion, collaboration, and leadership in all aspects of our work.”
