New CE Platform Expands Education Products for CRNAs
ROSEMONT, Ill. (AANA) – Today the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) launched its new continuing education platform – CRNA Education Edge. The new learning management system replaces CRNA Knowledge Network (CKN) and will enhance the learning experience for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), also known as nurse anesthesiologists or nurse anesthetists, by providing a more streamlined and advanced platform for continuing education.
CRNA Education Edge is a complete overhaul of AANA’s continuing education system that was designed in response to user feedback. AANA addressed user feedback as well as best-in-practice continuing education methods, to create a more user-friendly interface and a smoother educational journey within CRNA Education Edge. The platform is intuitive and customizable, adapting to users’ preferences over time.
“In nurse anesthesiology, continuous growth as an anesthesia expert is the hallmark of our profession,” said Brett Morgan, DNP, CRNA, AANA’s Senior Director of Education and Practice. “CRNAs are dedicated to safe, effective patient care and CRNA Education Edge is a testament to this commitment. With a cutting-edge learning platform, an expansive content catalog, and room to expand to innovative future learning opportunities, CRNA Education Edge empowers CRNAs to stay at the forefront of the field.
CRNAs will experience a seamless transition to CRNA Education Edge from CKN with all purchases and completed continuing education rolling over into the new system. Continued Professional Certification (CPC) Core Modules will also carry over with course progress being saved. In addition, CRNAs can expect new topical and relevant content to further their professional development through the platform such as the recently launched Journal Course Essentials.
“With CRNA Education Edge, AANA is investing in each member’s future with a promise that your career journey can extend as far as you want to take it. It allows you to only keep pace with the latest in nurse anesthesiology but provides a competitive edge,” Morgan said.
