September 30, 2024 CRNA Education Edge Offers Latest Innovative Concept from AANA The American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) announces a new educational series to help Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), also known as nurse anesthesiologists or nurse anesthetists, transitioning to independent contractor status as well as CRNAs already doing 1099 work who must navigate the complexities of 1099 employment. AANA is partnering with Beyond The Mask podcast hosts Sharon Pearce, DNP, CRNA, FAANA, FAAN, AANA former president, and Jeremy Stanley, EA, CRP, AIF, CRNA Financial Planning Member Advantage Program (MAP) partner, as content creators for the series. Unlike other general financial planning or business courses, this program offers specialized content tailored specifically to CRNAs and includes ongoing support through webinars, case studies, and access to a members-only community for continuous learning and networking. For CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists and Residents who are exploring 1099 employment as well as CRNAs who may already be doing 1099 and want to make sure they are performing it correctly, this product available through CRNA Education Edge (CEE) provides detailed guidance and resources on business structure, legal and tax implications, and financial information specific to 1099 CRNAs.
