Doctorally prepared CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists (clinical or research) are appropriate for application. The applicant must be an AANA member who will use the funds for the project, and discuss its relevance to the mission of the AANA Foundation.

A budget must be supplied (an estimate will suffice if a final version is not feasible.) The Foundation’s limited funds are based on contributions. As a result, our revised policy is to not fund travel, tuition or other educational expenses which in turn enables us to provide more evidence-based support. The Foundation will reimburse up to 15% indirect costs with proper documentation. The funding ceiling is inclusive of the indirect costs.
According to Foundation policy, the primary researcher’s salary and/or benefits will not be funded. Preference will be given to new programs. One application per team is appropriate.
