What is the AANA Helpline?

The AANA Helpline (800-654-5167) is a service strengthened through the AANA and Parkdale Center for Professionals partnership that provides a 24-hour live, confidential response for CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists and RRNAs with support, information, and helpful resources for issues related to alcohol or drugs.

Is the AANA Helpline Confidential?

Yes, support is confidential. Information provided by anyone contacting the AANA Helpline (800-654-5167) will be shared only with the caller’s knowledge and for the purpose of facilitating support. Anonymous demographic data is collected for reporting purposes only. Please note that all AANA staff and volunteers are required to comply fully with all applicable state laws regarding mandated reporting.

How is the AANA Helpline facilitated?

In October 2018, the AANA and Parkdale Solutions, LLC, entered a partnership to enhance the services offered to CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists and RRNAs who suffer from SUD or who have colleagues, friends, or coworkers who may be at risk for diverting drugs or shows signs of impairment due to drugs/alcohol.

Parkdale Solutions, LLC oversees the live answer of the AANA Helpline (800-654-5167) which is answered by addiction treatment professionals.

Who can call the AANA Helpline?

The AANA Helpline (800-654-5167) is open to any CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists or RRNA looking for live, confidential support, information, and helpful resources for issues related to alcohol or drugs.

If you know of a loved one, colleague, coworker, or friend who is a CRNA or RRNA that is struggling with for issues related to alcohol or drugs don’t hesitate to call the AANA Helpline for live, confidential support, information, and helpful resources.

Calling the AANA Helpline does not report an individual directly to the Boards of Nursing.

The AANA Helpline (800-654-5167) is a confidential member service for CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists, RRNAs, and their families as well as colleagues, supervisors, and educators.

Does the AANA Helpline Address Concerns Outside of Drugs and Alcohol?

No, the AANA does not address concerns outside of drugs and alcohol. If you are struggling with issues concerning mental health or other crisis situations please visit AANA’s Where to Get Help page for more resources.
