Levels for annual giving:

• Diamond = $5,000 and above
• Ruby = $2,500–$4,999
• Emerald = $1,000–$2,499

Leadership Circle: All-Inclusive Giving Level

The Leadership Circle is for donors who contribute $2,500 or more to the AANA Foundation’s Annual Fund and/or Health Services Research Fund within a fiscal year (September 1 – August 31). Each Leadership Circle member is eligible for one ticket to the annual AANA Foundation fundraisers held at the Assembly of Didactic and Clinical Educators (ADCE) and at the AANA Annual Congress Fundraiser.

The campaign to RISE Above for Research in Safety & Effectiveness continues to support Health Policy Research – critical, large-scale studies to expand the body of research that confirms that nurse anesthetists are cost effective and safe.

This research aims to educate the spectrum of health care stakeholders and decision-makers about the vital role CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists play in healthcare delivery and the value and quality that they bring to their patients.

Without research evidence, proving the value of CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists is difficult. We welcome you to join us as we RISE Above to further advance and protect your practice and our future.

Support nurse anesthesiology through a legacy gift with the Friends for Life program. The most common planned gifts are tax-favored bequests, trusts, gift annuities, and life insurance policies. The minimum to join with a planned gift is $25,000 or a cash gift or pledge of $25,000 within a five-year period. Please note that the minimum planned gift will increase to $35,000 on Jan. 1, 2025.

The deadline to join Friends for Life is June 15. Friends for Life donors are recognized at the AANA Annual Congress and are acknowledged with beautifully carved and engraved pieces of crystal artwork that are on display permanently in the lobby of the AANA building. Friends for Life donors embrace the Foundation’s mission of advancing nurse anesthesia through education and research and thus envision the need for future funding.

The Lorraine Jordan Legacy Fund honors and celebrates Dr. Jordan’s 36+ years of leadership and accomplishments with the AANA and AANA Foundation. The Lorraine Jordan Legacy Fund will support critically important research that underscores the safety and importance of CRNAs.

During her career with AANA, Lorraine worked with many colleagues and made many friends. Your donation supports the future of the profession, and recognizes a leader, colleague, and friend to CRNAs nationwide.

AANA Foundation’s endowment program is vitally important to securing the future for the nurse anesthesia profession. Our endowments provide support to students and CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists through scholarships and research funding. All funds deposited in an endowment fund are in trust by the AANA Foundation Board of Trustees. These funds are invested in accordance with the general investment guidelines of the AANA Foundation.

The Foundation hosts fundraising events at the AANA Annual Congress and Assembly of Didactic and Clinical Educators each year. A scholarship may be sponsored by an individual or an organization. This program provides assistance to students involved in a nurse anesthesia program and CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists enrolled in doctoral study. Minimum awards of $3,000 each will be granted annually. In lieu of a student scholarship application fee this year, new scholarship donors will be charged an annual administrative fee of $150 for a $3,000 scholarship and $250 for a $5,000 scholarship. In establishing the criteria, flexibility has been provided for a sponsor to:

• Add a specific criterion (i.e., a state association may want the student recipient to come from that state).
• Indicate a name in which the scholarship is to be given.
• Describe the specific purpose for establishing the scholarship to be used when publicizing it.
• Decide on an annual basis whether to continue sponsoring the scholarship.

To establish a scholarship or fellowship to be awarded, complete and return the Sponsor Application Form along with a check. Deadline: December 1. If funding cannot accompany the application upon submission, please contact the AANA Foundation at foundation@aana.com.

Individuals or organizations can sponsor a student nurse anesthetist to attend AANA Annual Congress in-person. Sponsor-a-student when registering for Annual Congress or by making a donation through the Foundation’s secure donation page and designating Sponsor-a-Student.
